Podium Alternatives: 9 Options for Assisted Living and Senior Living Owners (2026)

Podium Alternatives: 9 Options for Assisted Living and Senior Living Owners (2026)
Our verdict: Census Mastery is the #1 Podium alternative for senior living communities. It is built only for senior living and brings families in through Google, senior directories, reviews and AI answers, with a simple lead pipeline on every plan, from $79 a month. Podium itself stays the better platform if your team needs phones, webchat and payments in one inbox.
The best Podium alternatives for senior living in 2026 are Census Mastery for owners who need reviews, senior directories and leads, Birdeye for big groups that want one all-in-one platform, and Weave or Broadly if phones and an AI receptionist matter most. NiceJob alternatives, GatherUp, Reputation, RightResponse AI and ReputeMap cover reviews for less.
I built Census Mastery, so read my first pick knowing that. To keep this fair, every fact about every other company comes from its own public pages, checked on October 19, 2026, with a link so you can check me. Where a company does not publish its price, I say so. There is also a section on where Podium is still the right choice.

Why senior living owners look for a Podium alternative in 2026
Most senior living owners look for Podium alternatives because Podium is priced and built for fast-moving local sales. Core starts at $399 a month, phones cost extra, and the platform is tuned for car dealers, home services and retail. A care home that mostly needs reviews and directories often pays for texting power it never uses.
Podium is a strong platform, and Podium users like its speed. Podium is built for local sales teams, and Podium starts at a price that makes sense when every text can close a job. Its pricing page lists Core at $399 a month, Pro at $599 and Signature on a custom quote, and every plan routes to "Talk to Sales." Podium Phones seats add $30 per user a month for one to four users, plus a $500 network optimization fee per location. There is a $5 a month 10DLC fee on every US location.
Its industry menu lists auto dealerships, aesthetics, home services and retail. I found no senior living page and no mention of A Place for Mom or Caring.com. So owners exploring Podium look for an alternative to Podium that costs less, fits their business needs, or one that understands how families choose a community. If you look for Podium alternatives for either reason, this list is for you.

1. Census Mastery: the alternative to Podium for senior living reviews and leads
Census Mastery is a senior living reputation and census tool from $79 a month with no contract. It audits Google and 150+ senior directories, compares you with your five closest competitors, sends review requests by text and email on Full Census, and tracks every enquiry in a simple lead pipeline.
Where Podium is a texting platform that also does reviews, Census Mastery is a reputation platform that also texts. It brings online reviews from Google and the senior directories into one inbox, so you can manage reviews and customer reviews in one place, with automation that sends the asks for you. Here is what each plan includes, from the Census Mastery pricing page:
| Plan | Price | Communities | Texting and leads |
|---|---|---|---|
| Census Watch | $79 a month | 1 | senior living CRM lead pipeline, reviews inbox, review link and QR card |
| Full Census | $147 a month | Up to 3 | 200 texts a month, unlimited email requests, two-way texting, AI replies, surveys |
| Waitlist | $297 a month | 7, then $35 each | 500 texts a month, weekly map grid on 10 terms, 10 logins |
The lead pipeline sends a morning email with every family who needs a call that day, so the daughter who called on Tuesday hears back before she tours somewhere else on Saturday.

What it does not do, so you are not surprised: no unified messaging inbox, no webchat, no payments, no phone system, no human reply team and no listing syndication. On Full Census and Waitlist there is a guarantee: at least one move-in, or you get Census Mastery free for life plus 6 months of marketing worth US$12,000, terms apply. See the full head to head in Census Mastery vs Podium.
2. Birdeye: the closest Podium competitor, best for multi-location groups
Birdeye is the closest Podium competitor in shape. It is a customer experience platform with reviews, listings, webchat, a messaging inbox, payments and AI agents, and it has a senior living page. It does not publish prices; a third-party tracker estimates $299 to $449 per location a month.
Birdeye's senior living page offers demos for 10 to 50, 50 to 500 and 500 plus communities and lists HIPAA and SOC 2 Type II. Its webchat and payments pages match what Podium does in those areas. Birdeye is the closest match if you want to replace Podium feature for feature across a large group, and platforms like Birdeye suit businesses that want one vendor for everything. Birdeye and NiceJob sit at opposite ends: one enterprise suite, one simple review tool. If you are weighing Birdeye or NiceJob for a single community, NiceJob is far simpler. More in my list of Birdeye alternatives.
3. Weave: SMS, business texting and phones like Podium Phones
Weave is a phone and texting platform built for healthcare practices like dental, medical, veterinary and optometry offices. Its pricing page says plans start from $199 a month. It includes VoIP phones, two-way texting, bulk texting, missed call texting, reviews, email marketing, payments and text to pay.
From Weave's pricing page, the plans are named Ultimate and Elite, with up to 15 phones on Ultimate and bulk texting allowances from 1,500 to 15,000 messages a month. It also lists online scheduling, appointment reminders and digital forms. Its integrations focus on dental, veterinary, medical and optometry software. If you want SMS and calling on the same number like Podium Phones, Weave is the most direct swap on this list. It was not built for senior living, though, and its review tools are a small part of the package.
4. Broadly: AI receptionist and reviews, best for local service pros
Broadly is an AI platform for local service businesses. Its AI Workforce package costs $799 a month and covers an AI receptionist, missed call text-back, review requests and responses, social posts, a website, listings on 70 plus sites and email and SMS campaigns, all set up by its team.

Broadly's pricing page says more than 16,000 local pros use it, and its homepage describes AI employees for reception, reputation, social media and sales. Its customer stories feature auto glass, plumbing and pet care businesses, the kind of home service and local business work it was made for. If you want someone else to run the front desk and reviews for you, Broadly is one of the best for local service firms. For senior living, there is no directory audit and no resident privacy rules on its pages.
5. NiceJob: simple review requests for small business, no contract
NiceJob is review marketing for small businesses with no contract: Starter is $75 a month and Pro is $125, with a 14-day free trial. Starter sends review requests by text and email and adds review widgets. Pro adds AI replies, referrals, NPS surveys and competitor tracking.
NiceJob's pricing page lists SMS and email review requests, review widgets, social sharing and a team leaderboard on Starter, then repeat customer campaigns, referrals, broadcasts, AI replies, NPS and competitive intel on Pro. It is one of the best Podium alternatives for small businesses and any small team that wants to collect reviews without a texting platform. It is built around "every completed job," so it fits trades better than care homes. See Census Mastery vs NiceJob.
6. GatherUp: online reputation, review management and feedback
Census Mastery vs GatherUp covers this review and customer feedback software, with published pricing: $99 a month for one location, down to $60 per location at scale, with a 14-day trial. It sends review requests by text and email, runs NPS surveys, monitors reviews on 100 plus sites, and offers web-to-text chat.
GatherUp's pricing page lists up to 300 SMS and 3,000 email credits per location a month, QR codes, customer upload integrations and AI topic tagging, plus a $40 per location Listings Hub. Its homepage calls review gating a risky tactic, which I agree with. It is not built for senior living, but it is honest, priced in the open and good at review management. Its workflow and automation are simple enough that a front desk can run it. For owners who want to improve their online reputation and gain insights into customer feedback, without an engagement platform full of features they will never touch, it is a good fit.
7. Reputation: enterprise review management for large groups
Reputation is enterprise reputation management with a care and living page. It publishes per-location pricing: Rep Core at $80, Rep Core plus Pulse at $115 and Rep Core plus Surveys at $150 per location a month. Custom enterprise plans start at 125 locations. It is not a texting platform.

Its care and living page says it is designed for "regulated, multi-site groups," with reviews, surveys and social messages in one place, sentiment by topic, and compliant review requests. If you are leaving Podium because you need stronger reporting across many communities rather than more texting, Reputation is worth a demo. See Census Mastery vs Reputation.
8. RightResponse AI: low cost AI review responses
RightResponse AI is an AI review response platform with a senior living page and low prices: $10 per location a month on pay as you go, then $19, $29 and $44 tiers. Pro adds texted review requests, Google Maps rank tracking and competitor analysis.
From its pricing page: Core includes 100 AI review responses and 1,000 email review requests a month. Pro includes 200 responses, 2,000 emails plus 200 texts, and map rank tracking. Its senior living page suggests asking for a review after a completed move-in and settling-in period, which is a sensible moment to ask every family.
9. ReputeMap: budget Google review management
ReputeMap is Google review management at flat prices from $19 a month for one location up to $189 a month for 200 locations. There is a 14-day free trial with a card required, no sales call and no contract. Its senior living page gets the privacy rules right.
ReputeMap's senior living page says to ask every family for an honest review and never confirm that someone is or was a resident. It focuses on Google, so there is no texting inbox and no directory audit. For a single-location business that only wants Google review help, it is the cheapest pick here. See Census Mastery vs ReputeMap.
Other top alternatives for reviews and business texting: MessageDesk, Heymarket and HighLevel
If you only want reviews and business texting without Podium's price, three texting-first tools come up often. MessageDesk sells a shared team SMS inbox per user, Heymarket offers one inbox for texts and email with CRM integrations, and HighLevel is an all-in-one marketing suite popular with agencies.
- MessageDesk lists Team at $39 and Pro at $99 per user a month, on an annual contract billed monthly, on its pricing page.
- Heymarket describes "one agentic inbox for your texts and emails," with built-in integrations for Salesforce and HubSpot, on its homepage.
- HighLevel lists Starter at $97, Unlimited at $297 and Agency Pro at $497 a month, with a 14-day free trial, on its pricing page.
None of the three is built for senior living or reads senior directories, but each covers the customer communication and customer engagement side of Podium for less. Podium itself also handles Google messaging, much like Google Business messages, plus Facebook and Instagram, which is a big part of why it feels so complete. Pair one with a review tool if texting is your main need.

Where Podium is still the better platform
Podium is still better if your team lives in text messages and wants phones, webchat, payments, bulk SMS campaigns and an AI Employee in one platform with a dedicated success manager. Only Birdeye matches most of that, and only Weave and Broadly come close on phones.
From Podium's own pricing page:
- One inbox for texts, calls, email, Facebook, Instagram and Google messages.
- Podium Phones with text and call from the same number, call routing, phone menus and AI call summaries.
- Website chat on Core, and an AI Employee add-on that answers and books leads around the clock.
- Payments and lower payment processing fees on Pro.
- Text marketing with images, plus birthday, anniversary and seasonal automations.
- Support: one-on-one onboarding and a dedicated customer success manager on every plan.
In short, Podium is a platform for speed. Podium provides the fastest path on this list from a missed call to a booked appointment, and Podium still leads on phones. Where Podium lacks depth is senior living: Podium primarily serves auto, home services and retail, Podium requires a sales call for every plan, and Podium charges extra for phones and texting fees. That is the trade-off to weigh when comparing Podium with alternatives like Census Mastery, Birdeye or Weave.
If speed to lead is your whole game, Podium earns its price. I would rather say that than talk you into the wrong tool.
How to choose the right Podium alternative
Our pick: Census Mastery first for most senior living owners. It is not a full CRM and has no integrations, so use the options below when you need something it does not do.
To choose the right Podium alternative, decide first whether you need reviews or texting. If reviews and senior directories matter most, pick a reputation tool. If phones and texting matter most, pick a communication platform. Then check price, contract, privacy and whether it asks every family.
Use this checklist on every demo:
- Do I need a phone system, or just review requests by text?
- Does it show my community on A Place for Mom, Caring.com and Seniorly?
- Does every review reply avoid confirming that someone is a resident?
- Does it send the same review request to every family, not only happy ones?
- Can I see the full monthly price, with phone and texting fees?
- Is there a free trial or a money-back guarantee?
- Can I cancel monthly, or is it an annual contract?
- Will it track my Google review count against my top competitor?

That last question matters. A chart like this one shows the real problem for many communities: the competitor down the road keeps getting reviews every month, and you stall in winter. A good tool makes the gap obvious and tells you what to do about it.
How to switch from Podium without losing leads
You can switch from Podium without losing your Google reviews, because they live on your Google Business Profile, not in Podium. The work is your contract dates, your phone numbers, your conversation history and the review request flow you need to rebuild in the new platform.
- Check your contract. Podium's pricing page does not list cancel terms, and third-party guides such as Teamshift report 12-month terms. Read your order form.
- Export contacts and conversations while you still have access.
- Plan your phone numbers. If you use Podium Phones, ask how to port your number before you cancel.
- Swap review links, QR cards and website widgets.
- Rebuild review requests to ask every family, then test with your own phone.
- Run both for a short overlap if you can, so no family falls through the gap.

During the switch, a simple daily follow-up list keeps leads from slipping. In Census Mastery that list arrives by email every morning.
How I researched these top Podium alternatives
I read each vendor's homepage, pricing page and any senior living page on October 19, 2026, and linked every fact. Prices that load in the browser were read the way a buyer sees them. The one price a vendor hides, Birdeye's, is a labeled third-party estimate. No vendor paid to be listed.
I chose these nine from the tools senior living owners ask me about and the ones that show up most when people compare Podium. Support and AI quality vary by account, so read recent user reviews and ask each vendor for a reference in senior living before you sign.
