Yext Pricing 2026: Listing Plans, Costs per Location, a Yext Review of Whether Yext Is Worth It, and Yext vs Working With a Local SEO Service

Our verdict: for senior living communities, Census Mastery is the #1 pick over Yext. It is built only for senior living, brings families in through Google, senior directories, reviews and AI answers, and includes a simple lead pipeline, from $79 a month. Yext stays fair value if your listings are wrong across many sites.
Pricing for a single location runs from $199 to $999 a year on its self-serve listing plans: Emerging $199, Essential $449, Complete $499 and Premium $999. All plans last 12 months and are billed annually. If you are buying for many locations (more than 10), you request a demo.

Plans and pricing in 2026: listing tiers per location
There are four self-serve listing plans per location, and each adds more sites or features. The company says it serves over 150,000 locations. Its enterprise platform for multi-location brands, built on a knowledge graph with an API and AI agent tools, is sold through sales to mid-market and larger buyers.

| Plan | Price per year | Weekly figure shown | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Emerging | $199 | $4 a week | Your listing on about 40 smaller sites, such as Merchant Circle, eLocal and EZLocal |
| Essential | $449 | $9 a week | Google, Facebook, Bing, Apple, Yelp, MapQuest and other major sites |
| Complete | $499 | $10 a week | Both site groups, plus PowerListings+ and Analytics |
| Premium | $999 | $19 a week | Everything in Complete, plus Review Monitoring and Website Widgets |
| Census Mastery, for comparison | From $79 a month | Billed monthly | ✅ #1 pick for senior living: reviews, Google Maps rank, senior directories and AI answers |

The page shows "original prices" of $20, $22 and $35 a week next to the current figures, so it frames these as discounts.
Key features: how Yext works across the web
The key features in these plans keep your business information across the web accurate on search engines and directory sites. The vendor says it has "an industry-leading network of 100+ direct integrations" and can fix bad listing data "in many cases, within seconds."
- Listing sync. Push one central record of your name, address, phone and hours to Google, Bing, Apple, Yelp and more.
- PowerListings+. Publish products, services, calendars and staff bios on listing sites.
- Analytics. Track profile views by partner site.
- Review Monitoring (Premium). Keep track of ratings and reviews on your listings.
- Website Widgets (Premium). Add your enhanced content to your website.
This is the core of how it works: a publisher network that sends one record to each directory, much like a data aggregator such as Localeze. Every accurate citation supports local rankings and visibility in search results on Google and Bing. Duplicate suppression, meaning hiding old or duplicate listings, is part of the cleanup.
Is Yext worth it? NAP consistency, citation building and senior living
It is worth it if your listings are a mess across many sites and you have no one to fix them. Local businesses that need listings fixed fast get real value. For a single senior living community, the bigger wins are usually reviews, your Google Business Profile and AI search, and the self-serve plans cover only part of that digital marketing job.

The plans page does not name senior living directories such as A Place for Mom or Caring.com, where families compare communities. These plans do not include review requests or map rank tracking, and AI tracking sits in the enterprise products, not here. Our senior living reputation management software checklist shows what to look for.
Before working with Yext, run a free listings check yourself, including Apple Business Connect and your Google Business Profile (GMB). In many cases business owners can fix the few sites that matter by hand, which the vendor's own FAQ acknowledges.

Yext vs BrightLocal, Moz Local and Census Mastery on price
Here is what one community pays a year. These plans are a listings tool, while Census Mastery covers reviews, rankings and AI search, so this is a cost view, not a like-for-like feature match.

| Tool and plan | Yearly cost | Billing |
|---|---|---|
| Yext Essential | $449 | 12 months, paid annually |
| Yext Premium | $999 | 12 months, paid annually |
| Census Mastery Census Watch | $948 | Monthly, $79, no contract |
| Census Mastery Full Census, with the move-in guarantee | $1,764 for up to 3 communities | Monthly, $147, no contract |
The review tools cost more: see Birdeye pricing, Podium pricing and NiceJob pricing. If you are weighing other citation tools such as Bright Local or Moz Local, our BrightLocal alternatives and Yext alternatives guides compare reviews and local listing options.
What Census Mastery adds: AI search and senior living visibility
Census Mastery is built only for senior living. Instead of syncing 100+ sites, it focuses on what moves a family to call: your Google Business Profile, reviews, your rank on the map and what AI tools say.

- Your Google Business Profile tools and a profile health check
- Map rank scans against nearby communities
- HIPAA-compliant AI review replies and texting and review requests by email
- AI search tracking across ChatGPT, Gemini and other engines
- A CRM for senior living, the lead pipeline, on every plan

Subscription and cancellation: what happens if you cancel?
The FAQ says Yext "does not hold your data hostage." Cancelling does not overwrite the updates you made, but it stops sending your data to its network, and "your data becomes subject to the normal compilation process of each publisher, which may result in your listings changing over time." Claim your key listings in your own name so you can always fix them.
Who should choose Yext, and who should choose Census Mastery?
Choose Census Mastery if you run a senior living community and want reviews, Google Maps rank, senior directories, AI answers and a simple lead pipeline. It audits listings rather than syncing them, is not a full CRM and has no integrations.
Choose Yext if your main job is pushing accurate listing data to many sites.
Frequently asked questions
These answers come from the plans page on October 21, 2026.
How much does Yext cost per location?
Self-serve plans cost $199, $449, $499 or $999 a year per location. For more than 10 locations, you request a free demo for custom pricing.
Does Yext offer a free trial?
The plans page does not show a free trial. It links to a listings scan, and larger buyers can request a demo.
Is Yext a monthly subscription?
No. The page shows weekly figures, but all plans last 12 months and are billed annually.
Is Yext good for local SEO?
It helps local SEO by keeping your listings consistent on Google and Bing, Apple and other sites. It does not, on its own, earn reviews or improve your Google Maps ranking against nearby communities.
The bottom line on Yext pricing
For senior living communities, Census Mastery comes out #1: reviews, Google Maps rank, senior directories and AI answers from $79 a month.
Yext pricing is clear on the self-serve plans: $199 to $999 a year per location for listing sync. That is fair value if your listings are wrong across many sites. If you run a senior living community, put your budget first into reviews, Google Business Profile and AI search, then add listings if you still need them.
