Reputation management software for senior living

A family does not read one site. The average person uses six before deciding. So the audit reads every one of them: the senior living directories (A Place for Mom, Caring.com, Seniorly, SeniorAdvisor, U.S. News Senior Living, Assisted Living Near Mom, FamilyAssets, SeniorHomes, Care.com and 140 more), the map and review sites, the referral networks, the associations and the employer review sites. For each one it records whether you are listed, whether the listing is claimed, the rating, the review count, the newest review, and whether the name, address and phone match your Google profile.

  • Missing listings, so you know which directories a family cannot find you on
  • Unclaimed listings, so a competitor or a directory is not writing your story for you
  • Wrong name, address or phone, which confuses Google and families alike
  • Other businesses at your address, a known way search results get polluted
  • Complaint-type results on page one of Google for your name
Your listings in Census Mastery: each directory as the site shows it, with rating, review count, newest review and a link to the live page.

Senior living reputation management tool

  1. Google rating, 25 points. It is the first thing every family sees. 31 percent will not consider a community under 4.5 stars.
  2. Review count versus competitors, 15 points. 47 percent will not consider a business with fewer than 20 reviews, and families compare you to the home next door, not to a national average.
  3. Newest review age, 15 points. 32 percent want to see a review from the last two weeks. A 392-day-old newest review reads as a closed business.
  4. Directory coverage, 15 points. If Seniorly lists your three competitors and not you, you are not in the running for that family.
  5. Ratings on directories and review sites, 20 points. Yelp and Facebook included, weighted by how many reviews sit behind each rating. An empty Caring.com or A Place for Mom page counts against you, because to a family it reads as nobody has anything good to say.
  6. Owner reply rate, 5 points. More than half of reviewers now expect a reply within a day. Silence reads as absence.
  7. Clean page one, 5 points. A “complaints” result next to your name ends the search.

Assisted living reputation management

Some directories block automated reading. When that happens, Census Mastery shows “not readable.” When a listing exists but the rating cannot be confirmed, it shows “could not verify.” It never fills in a guess, and it never scores a zero for something it could not see. Every figure on your Report Card links to the live page it was read from, so you, your owner or your regional director can click through and check. We built it this way because a reputation tool you cannot trust is worse than no tool.

Rebuilt on your schedule

Census Watch re-audits monthly. Full Census and Waitlist re-audit weekly, every two weeks or monthly, your choice, plus on demand. Every audit records the change since the last one: score, rating, review count, coverage and flagged results, with up and down arrows, and a month-by-month trend line so you can see the effect of the plays you ran.

Trend across audits in Census Mastery: score, Google rating, reviews and directories listed at each audit, beside Google reviews by month.

Why it matters

A referral from a discharge planner is a name on a piece of paper. Before that family calls you, they will search. The audit shows you what they will find, before they find it.
