Yext Alternatives: 9 Options for Assisted Living and Senior Living Owners (2026)

By Ronald OsbornePublished

Best Yext Alternatives 2026: Listing and AI Search Tools

Our verdict: Census Mastery is the #1 Yext alternative for senior living communities. It is built only for senior living and brings families in through Google, senior directories, reviews and AI answers, with a simple senior living CRM on every plan, from $79 a month. Yext itself stays the better buy for large multi-location brands that need listing data pushed everywhere.

The best Yext alternatives for senior living in 2026 are Census Mastery if you want senior directories, Google Maps rank and AI answers checked for you, BrightLocal or Moz Local for low cost listing management, Whitespark if you want someone to rebuild your listings once, and Uberall or Birdeye for large multi-location groups.

Yext is a serious enterprise management platform and search solution. Yext offers self-serve listing packages that run $199 to $999 a year, every plan is a full year, and its newer AI tools, like Scout, have no published price. If you own a few assisted living communities, you may want something simpler, cheaper or built for senior care. Here are nine Yext alternatives with real prices and honest notes, including where Yext is still the better buy.

I built Census Mastery, so it is on this list. Every other vendor fact comes from that vendor's own public pages, checked on October 19, 2026, with links so you can check me.

Why senior living owners look for the best alternative to Yext for local listings

Senior living owners look for an alternative to Yext because its listings packages are annual, its AI search tools are built for enterprise brands, and I found no senior directory coverage on its pages. For one to twenty communities, the real need is usually a clear view of local search, not data sync for thousands of locations.

Here is what Yext publishes. Its self-serve plans page lists Emerging at $199 a year, Essential at $449, Complete at $499 and Premium at $999, and says all Yext plans run for a full year. Review monitoring is only on Premium. It also says "Buying for more than 10 locations? Get a Demo Here." Its homepage calls Yext an "enterprise agentic marketing platform," and its Scout page covers AI search visibility across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google.

Yext also has the biggest senior living proof point in the category. Its Brookdale case study covers more than 1,100 senior living communities. If you are that size, keep reading the "Where Yext is still better" section. For a head-to-head, read Census Mastery vs Yext.

Look for listings management that keeps your name, address, phone and hours right on Google, Apple Maps, Bing and Facebook, plus local SEO tools like rank tracking and citation audits. For senior living, add senior directories, review management, AI search visibility and month-to-month terms. Then compare what each one does when you cancel.

The right tool should centralize your business data, improve local search results and fit your budget. Here is the short list I compared every Yext alternative on:

  • Business listing sync or audit. Does it push your business data to directories and search engines, or check them and tell you what to fix? Data management and automation save the most time at many locations.
  • Citation coverage. Which directories it covers. Most tools cover Google, Apple, Bing and Yelp. Few cover A Place for Mom, Caring.com or Seniorly.
  • Local rank tracking. A local search grid that shows where you rank in Google Maps across your town.
  • AI search visibility. Whether ChatGPT and Google AI answers mention you, and which sites they cite.
  • Review management. Monitoring, replies and review requests, ideally in the same dashboard.
  • Pricing and terms. Transparent pricing or custom pricing, monthly or annual, and what happens to your listings if you leave.
  • Customer support. A real person who answers when a listing goes wrong.

A common question is whether you can just list your business yourself. You can. Claim your Google Business Profile, Apple Business Connect and Bing Places directly. A tool saves time and catches drift, but your core listings should always be in your own name.

1. Census Mastery: the best Yext alternative for senior living search visibility and online reputation

Census Mastery is senior living reputation and census software with pricing starting at $79 a month, billed monthly. It audits 150+ senior directories, checks your Google Business Profile, maps your Google rank, compares you with five communities in a senior living competitor analysis and tracks six AI engines from $147. It does not push listing updates like Yext does.

What you get, by plan, from our Census Mastery pricing:

  • Census Watch, $79 a month, one community. The Census Score, 150+ directories, five competitors, Google Maps rank on three terms monthly, the reviews inbox, the lead pipeline and website tracking.
  • Full Census, $147 a month, up to three communities. Adds AI review replies, review requests by email and text, two-way texting, family surveys and AI visibility across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews.
  • Waitlist, $297 a month, seven communities, then $35 each. Ten terms on an 11 by 11 grid every week and 500 texts.

The reputation audit shows each senior directory listing as families see it, with a link straight to the live page. The Google Business Profile check covers photos, questions and posting. The guarantee on Full Census and Waitlist: at least one move-in, or you get Census Mastery free for life plus 6 months of marketing worth US$12,000. Terms apply.

Where it falls short of Yext: no Yext-style syndication, no duplicate suppression, no local pages, no site search, no social tools and no API. If you need listings pushed for you, pair it with one of the tools below.

2. BrightLocal: the best cheaper alternative for local SEO, local search and listing automation

BrightLocal is a local SEO platform with transparent pricing for one location: Track at $41 a month, Manage at $54 and Grow at $65, or $31, $40 and $49 billed yearly. Manage keeps your business details synced across key sites. There is a 14-day free trial with no credit card.

BrightLocal's plans say Track includes a Local AI Visibility Tracker that shows "how your business appears across ChatGPT and Google's AIs," rank tracking for up to 100 keywords and four competitors, and a geo-grid map for up to five keywords. Grow adds review monitoring and review requests by email and SMS. Its Citation Builder service starts at $2 per citation, with "Citations you own forever." Its homepage says 15,000+ customers use it. BrightLocal offers the most complete local SEO tool on this list for the price. Using BrightLocal, most single-location businesses and agencies under 100 locations get listings similar to Yext plus search engine optimization tools for far less, and a solution that fits your business size. It does not cover senior directories. More in Census Mastery vs BrightLocal and BrightLocal alternatives.

3. Moz Local: simple listing management for small businesses

Moz Local is a listings management tool from the SEO company Moz. Lite costs $199 a year, about $16 a month, and covers 90+ listing directories, a local grid for map pack ranking, review monitoring and data health analytics. Preferred at $299 a year adds review responding, sentiment analysis and social posting.

From the Moz Local pricing page: Elite costs $399 a year and includes the Listings AI add-on, which costs $119 a year on the other plans. Preferred adds competitor analysis and posting to Google and Facebook. It is not built for senior living, but for small businesses and one-community owners who want local listings at a lower price, it is one of the simplest picks to improve local visibility.

4. Synup: listings, reviews and an AI agent priced by location band

Synup is a listings, reviews and AI visibility platform for agencies and brands. Solo costs $49 a month for one location, or $39 billed yearly. Premium covers up to 10 locations for $299 a month, or $239 yearly. Every plan includes every feature, and there is a free trial.

Synup's plans page says "Every plan includes every feature. The band sets capacity, credits and agent throughput." Its agent, Sydekick, detects listing drift and fixes it, and writes and publishes posts. The page even compares itself with Yext and Uberall for listings, and lists AI answer optimization. Pro covers 25 locations and Scale 50, with Enterprise on contract pricing above that. It is not senior specific.

5. Whitespark: a one-time Yext replacement service

Whitespark is a Canadian local SEO company that sells its software and services separately. Its Yext Replacement Service costs $399 per location as a one-time fee. Its Listings Service runs $20 to $999 one time, and its Local Platform for Google Business Profiles costs $1 per location a month.

Whitespark's price list calls the replacement service "Our Yext alternative that's more effective, more affordable." It also sells a Local Rank Tracker from $14 to $200 a month, a Local Citation Finder from $33 to $149 a month, Local Ranking Grids from $10 a month and Reputation Builder at $79 per location a month. It says it was founded in 2005 in Edmonton, Alberta. If you hate subscriptions, a one-time listings cleanup plus your own Google profile is a smart combination.

6. Uberall: the enterprise Yext replacement for a multi-location brand

Uberall is a location marketing platform for multi-location brands, with listings, reviews, local social and AI search tools. Its Show Up, Stand Out and Connect plans say "request pricing," with add-ons like GEO Studio for AI share of voice. It is the closest like-for-like Yext replacement for big brands.

Uberall's plans list duplicate suppression, profile protection and a voice network on every plan, and AI review responses from Stand Out. Its Uberall vs Yext page says its AI assistant, UB-I, and human support are included on every plan and that GEO Studio covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview, Gemini, AI Mode, Copilot, Grok and Claude. That page is Uberall's own comparison, so weigh it as a vendor claim. It is not built for senior living.

7. Birdeye: all-in-one online reputation management and customer experience

Birdeye is a customer experience platform with listings, reviews, surveys, webchat, payments, AI search tracking and automatic competitor detection, plus a senior living page. It does not publish prices; a third-party tracker estimates $299 to $449 per location a month. It suits groups that want one vendor for everything and want to enhance their online reputation across many sites.

Birdeye's listings page covers listing management, and its senior living page shows A Place for Mom and Caring.com among connected sites. Its AI search page describes tracking in AI engines. The price estimate is from CostBench, verified August 26, 2026, and is not a Birdeye figure. More in Census Mastery vs Birdeye.

8. SOCi: AI agents for hundreds of locations

SOCi is a local marketing platform for enterprises that manage hundreds or thousands of locations. It sells three Genius Agents for local search, social and reputation, priced by location count and agent. Every quote is custom, and SOCi says there is no free trial.

SOCi's pricing FAQ says its Genius Local Search Agent covers listings management, listings optimization and dynamic pages, and that there are no per-user or per-listing fees. It cites a Forrester study that SOCi commissioned. It is built for a national multi-location brand that needs native social media management, not a three-community owner.

9. GatherUp: reviews first, with a listings add-on

GatherUp is review and customer feedback software at $99 a month for one location, down to $60 per location at scale, with a 14-day trial. Its Listings Hub add-on costs $40 per location a month. It suits owners who care most about reviews and want listings handled on the side.

Its plans list up to 300 texts and 3,000 emails per location a month and NPS surveys. Its homepage calls review gating a risky tactic, which I agree with. If Yext's Premium review monitoring was the part you used most, GatherUp gives you more on reviews for a similar yearly spend. See Census Mastery vs GatherUp.

Where Yext is still better than these alternatives

Yext is still better for large multi-location brands that need one knowledge graph pushed to a big publisher network, local pages on their own domain, site search, AI agents with approval steps and an API. Unlike Yext, most tools on this list are built for smaller teams. That depth matters at hundreds of locations.

Senior living reputation compared with three competitors on Google, A Place for Mom, Caring.com, SeniorAdvisor and Seniorly

  • Publisher network. Yext's healthcare page talks about "200+ direct integrations."
  • Scout. AI search visibility against up to 20 competitors per location.
  • Pages and Search. Local pages and on-site search built from the same data.
  • Developer access. APIs and an MCP connection.
  • Senior living scale. Brookdale is the proof point.

If you run 300 communities, staying with Yext or moving to Uberall, SOCi or Birdeye is usually the right call for multi-location businesses.

Yext pricing compared: pricing plans of the best Yext alternatives

More detail on Yext's own plans is in Yext pricing explained.

Do you lose your listings if you cancel Yext?

Not right away. Yext's own FAQ says it "does not hold your data hostage" and that cancelling "does not overwrite the updates you have made." After you leave, each site's normal data sources can change your listings over time. Plan your switch so nothing drifts in the gap.

That is from the FAQ on Yext's plans page. Here is a simple way to switch:

  1. Note your Yext renewal date. Plans renew yearly.
  2. Claim Google, Apple, Bing and Facebook in your own name if you have not already.
  3. Export your locations and hours from Yext.
  4. Set up the new tool, or book a one-time cleanup, a few weeks before renewal.
  5. Check your top listings and senior directories a month after you switch.

How to choose: AI search visibility, local search visibility and reputation management

Our pick: Census Mastery first for most senior living owners. It is not a full CRM and has no integrations, so use the options below when you need something it does not do.

Pick by the job. For senior directories, Maps rank and AI answers, Census Mastery. For low cost listings and local SEO, BrightLocal or Moz Local. For listings plus an AI assistant, Synup. For a one-time fix, Whitespark. For enterprise scale, Uberall, SOCi or Birdeye. Then check terms.

Five questions to ask every vendor:

  1. Do you cover A Place for Mom, Caring.com, Seniorly and SeniorAdvisor, or only Google, Apple and Bing?
  2. Do you push my listings, or audit them and tell me what to fix?
  3. Can I see my Google Maps rank across my whole town, not just from my address?
  4. Is it monthly or annual, and what happens to my listings when I leave?
  5. What does it cost for my exact number of communities, with every add-on?

How I researched these Yext alternatives, from vendor pages to G2

I checked every vendor claim against that vendor's public pages on October 19, 2026, and linked each one. The only third-party price is Birdeye's, and it is labeled as an estimate. Uberall's claims about Yext come from Uberall's own comparison page and are labeled that way.

No vendor paid to be listed, and none reviewed this post. "Not found" means I did not find it on their public pages, not that it can never exist in a custom deal. Read recent reviews on G2 or Capterra before you sign, and look for other senior living operators in them.

Yext alternatives: frequently asked questions

These are the questions senior living owners ask most about Yext competitors. Short answers here, each one backed by the vendor pages linked above, so you can check every claim against the source before you book a demo or sign anything.

What is the best Yext alternative for assisted living? For one to twenty communities, Census Mastery, because it covers senior directories, Maps rank and AI answers. If you also want listings pushed for you, add BrightLocal or Moz Local.

Are there cheaper alternatives to Yext? Yes. Moz Local starts at $199 a year, BrightLocal at $31 a month billed yearly, and Whitespark's replacement service is a one-time $399 per location.

Who are Yext's main competitors? Uberall, Birdeye, SOCi, Synup, BrightLocal, Moz Local and Whitespark are the most common.

How much does Yext cost per year? Its self-serve packages cost $199, $449, $499 or $999 a year per listing. Enterprise pricing is by quote.

Is Yext worth it for a small senior living community? Often not. A single community can claim its main listings directly and use a cheaper tool to watch for drift.

Can a listings platform guarantee I appear in ChatGPT or Gemini? No. Accurate listings and strong reviews help, but no tool can guarantee an AI answer. Tools like Census Mastery, BrightLocal and Yext Scout can show you where you stand.

Does Census Mastery have a free trial? No. It has a 30-day money-back guarantee and a free Census Score on a 20-minute call.

The bottom line on Yext alternatives

Census Mastery is the #1 Yext alternative for senior living communities: senior living depth, published prices from $79 a month and month to month terms. It is not a full CRM and has no integrations. Yext remains a strong enterprise listings platform.

Yext is a strong enterprise listings platform, but most senior living owners with one to twenty communities do not need enterprise data sync. They need accurate core listings, a clear view of senior directories, Maps rank and AI answers, and a short list of what to fix this month.
